Please read all details below carefully. Some information has changed from last season.
Purchasing is based on variety, so the date is the variable. We will confirm the date as soon as the field is ready. We aim for weekends where possible, but final timing is set by Mother Nature.
Main details to know for this are:
WHEN:
Dates will be released for each variety offered. The day will be divided into time slots to manage numbers.
Please select the time you can attend so we can plan entry. If you do not know your time but want to secure a ticket, choose the OPEN option; entry will be based on when you arrive and slot availability.
If you are more than 15 minutes late to your booked time, you will join the queue in the same way an OPEN ticket holder does.
WHERE:
430 Springs Rd, Prebbleton, Christchurch
WEATHER:
We operate at the mercy of the weather. If we need to reschedule, we’ll give as much notice as possible. No refunds are offered for these events. If you cannot attend due to our rescheduling, you may:

Gift your spot to a friend, or
-
Collect $57.50 worth of cut stems from our shop.
- Use it for a drop in "PYO" when open.
VARIETY:
Not all varieties will have a Fill Ya Bucket event.
Events open for a variety only after we stop picking it for the farm. To ensure there is enough for everyone, maximum 50 stems per person.
Ticket numbers vary by variety (for example, we grow fewer Etched Salmon than Corals).
WHO:
Small groups are shown into the rows at the start of each time slot. It is then a “one out, one in” process.
On arrival, check in at the station so we can mark you off and manage entry. Time slots are limited. If you booked 1:00 pm but arrive at 12:00 pm, you will not be admitted until all 12:00 and 12:30 pm ticket holders are through.
PARKING:
There is plenty of on-site parking. Please do not park on Springs Rd. Follow signage on entry and keep your speed under 5 km/h.
BRING:

Your name and order number (this is your entry).

Your own secateurs for cutting. We do not supply secateurs. Scissors are not secateurs. Anyone arriving with scissors will not be admitted and is not eligible for a refund.

Covered footwear. You will not be allowed in the rows without covered shoes.
BUCKETS:
Buckets for picking are supplied. Only supplied buckets may be used in the field.
You may bring your own bucket for transporting your flowers home. You can also purchase our picking bucket on the day for $5. No BYO buckets in the field.
COST:
$57.50 per person, per bucket.
For health and safety reasons, there is no allowance for a non-picking “plus one” in the picking area. Friends/partners/children will not be allowed in the picking area. No children are to be left unattended.
REFUNDS:
We do not offer refunds for this event.
If weather prevents us from running the event, your ticket converts to a $57.50 in-store credit for cut stems. No cash refunds. Prebbleton Peonies reserves the right to make this call.
Any credits for unused tickets are valid for the season of purchase only.
SAFETY:
You will receive a brief before entering the rows. Key points: no running and do not climb the wires under any circumstances. Anyone climbing will be asked to leave immediately.
There are sufficient flowers for everyone. Please stick to your time slot. Late or extended picking delays other groups.
ACCESSIBILITY:
Our farm is not wheelchair friendly. We recommend visiting to assess accessibility based on your needs. A valid support person may accompany those who need one.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
Photography at these events may be used on our website and social channels. Please tell staff on arrival if you do not wish to appear in any imagery.
We are a working export farm. If you join us for these events, please follow staff instructions, be kind to others, and enjoy.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the instructions above and to any directions given by staff on the day. Failure to follow instructions may result in being asked to leave the premises. All attendees agree to adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
