Shipping Policy
Dispatch Day is not delivery day. The date you choose at checkout is the day your peonies leave our farm. When they reach you depends on your address and on NZ Post.

When we dispatch
We dispatch Monday to Thursday through the season, start date for this varies each year and depends entirely on our Start Pick Date.

You can choose your Dispatch Day when you order. Orders close at midnight on the day before your chosen Dispatch Day. If your order arrives without a Dispatch Day on it, we will send it on the next one available.

We do not dispatch on Friday-Sunday, so nothing sits in a depot over the weekend.

We do not dispatch on Labour Day. Any orders that come through that day will be shipped the following day, Tuesday 27 October.

Wholesale boxes run to their own schedule and go out over 5x Tuesdays in the season. These change each year based on our Start Pick Date.

When to expect them
These are NZ Post's indicative times, counted from the day we dispatch:

South Island — overnight to urban addresses, 4+ business days rural (We strongly suggest you only pick a Monday Dispatch - our system will not flag Rural Addresses)

North Island — overnight to 2 business days urban, 4+ business days rural.

Business days only — weekends and public holidays do not count.

Rural addresses
Rural delivery adds 3-4 business days on top of the times above. Our checkout does not know whether an address is rural, so it will not warn you — please allow for it yourself.

If you are rural, we suggest choosing an earlier Dispatch Day than you think you need — earlier in the week, or the week before. If the flowers are for a particular date, get in touch before you order and we will help you time it.

How they travel
Every box is picked, chilled and packed at the farm for your Dispatch Day, with an ice pack inside. Peonies are sent in bud so they open in your vase rather than in transit.

Any journey over 24 hours may mean the buds begin to open on the way. That is the nature of a fresh flower travelling a long way, and by ordering you accept the flowers may arrive further on than when they left us.

What a box costs to send
Delivery is excluded in the box price, anywhere in New Zealand: Shipping is added at checkout.

$79 — 9 stems
$97 — 12 stems

The price is the same whichever variety you choose. Wholesale boxes are priced separately.

 

Collecting from the farm
We pick daily - if you are local and able to pick up, we encourage stopping in and ordering from the farm shop instead. Our Click and collect service have stems at a cheaper rate. This service will come available later in the season.

Collection orders are not couriered, so none of the delivery times above apply to them.

If your order has both a collection item and a courier item in it, we will send the courier part and hold the collection part at the shop for you — they do not travel together.

Delays and what we cannot control
We hand every order to NZ Post on the Dispatch Day you chose. After that the journey is theirs, and we have no control over it.

We cannot refund or replace an order because a courier ran late, and we cannot guarantee an arrival date. What we can do is track it with you and help sort out anything that has gone wrong — so tell us.
